The history of the great fort at Jodhpur is one of war, violence, and political machinations (among other things). Yet the fort's occupants are not just human; what small battles are fought among its other inhabitants have almost no power beyond their immediate vicinity.

Yes, can you enlarge the eye sufficiently to see yourself?
Zhoen, RR — there's an intensity about these little squirrels that seems to condense in their eyes. I don't recall ever failing to be charmed by them. (RR, I was in the shadow, photographing, so no, although I'm in there somewhere, I'm indiscernible — as I should be.)
Wow, amazingly crisp! For such a simple subject, it's wonderfully composed.
